How did you become part of the SCAS family?

Last year I had the privilege to be part of a life changing program – Impact – at SCAS, during my gap year. When I went home, I just felt as if my heart stayed at SCAS, because I was so excited to hear that there is opportunity to share the gospel while playing sports. My plan was to come back in 2016, but God’s ways are so much greater. I gave Godfrey a call near to the end of last year and asked if there is a possibility that I can join the SCAS team. And our Father opened the doors in such a way, so that I can start in early January 2017. And now I am so blessed to be part of the SCAS family.

When and how did you get saved?

I grew up in a Christian home and had the privilege to be raised with good values. I don’t have an exact date when I got saved, but I was baptised in 2014 and throughout my grade 12 year in 2015 God worked with me in so many ways. I always wanted to be the best for Christ, to set the example and I guess being so busy living for Him, that I lacked in having a relationship with Jesus. In 2016 a lot of things turned out differently than I expected, and planned. But God taught me so much and changed my whole heart and perspective about what life is really about. My story does not have a specific event or moment – I believe this is an amazing journey, seeking and experiencing our Father more and more every day!! It makes my heart sing of joy to think that I am a child of God!

Who are you? (Tell us more about yourself, what are your passions etc).

I am a positive, adventures and focused person, who likes to set a goal to my mind and work for it. I love sport and really enjoy working out in a team or by myself. I love the outdoors and seeking adventure and being in nature makes me feel closer to our Creator!! I also have a big heart for animals. Children is the perfect example for me of how we should believe and live our lives and it just energizes me to work and play with them. I don’t like to sit still and the busier I am, the more I get done. It makes me so happy when I see that other people is happy.

What has the Lord called you for?

My love for people, my love for sport and most of all; knowing that our Father is the King, makes me excited to seek God’s calling in my life. And to really trust Him for leading me towards that calling, through and with SCAS.
